Overview

This position requires an individual to be competitive yet team-oriented, while striving towards a goal.  It is paramount that a loan officer sets a high standard for not only themselves but also their team.  This may entail utilizing intense motivation and prioritizing. A loan officer functions well under pressure and with the use of an incentive. This position will call for a light sense of leadership among a well-organized team.

 

Responsibilities
  • Develop business relationships to increase contact volume

  • Promote the use of referrals through various forms of marketing

  • Operating computer software such as Microsoft Office and Encompass

  • Daily setting of individual goals

  • Communicate team expectations

  • Supervise loan personnel

  • Be informed of up to date rates, underwriting requirements and loan procedures

  • Respond efficiently to compliance, regulations and training

  • Discover potential clients

  • Initiate the loan process in a timely manner

  • Analyze the financial and credit data of loan applicants

  • Approve or deny mortgage loan applications according to underwriting and compliance qualifications

  • Compute client payment schedules

 

Qualifications
  • Strong desire to succeed in a sales environment and be a top producer.

  • Ability to correctly and accurately structure and price loans.

  • Current CA DBO and NMLS license.

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills.

  • Self-motivated, self-starting professional.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow through skills.

  • Truly independent mortgage sales professional
